Utah ATV Laws Change

If you ride an ATV in Utah, but are not a Utah resident there is an important change taking effect to the Utah ATV Laws on January 1, 2020.

Utah will no longer offer reciprocity with ANY other states. This new change in the OHV law applies to all out of state off road vehicles including ATVs, OHVs, off-highway motorcycles and snowmobiles.

Previously, Utah would allow out of state riders who were legally registered in their home state to also ride legally in Utah without also having to register in Utah, but that law is changing.

All out of state, off road riders in Utah will now be required to register their ATV/OHV vehicles in Utah in order to ride legally within Utah.

Out of state registration will cost $30 and will remain valid for 12 months from date of purchase. If you buy the permit online, there is an additional $5 charge.
