Polaris has two mud ATVs that come straight from the factory ready for mud without having to make any modifications. This 850cc is the smaller of the two Polaris mud ATVs.

Of course, small is a relative term here because this 850 has more than enough power for all but the most intense mud riders.

Not only does it come bog ready with aggressive mud tires, but it also has arched A arms that help give it an impressive 13.5″ of clearance.

But, it’s the high mount air and cooling that really make this ATV mud ready. The rack mounted radiator with inverted dual fans keep fresh air flowing to the engine, clutches and radiator to provide maximum power and cooling.

850 vs 1000 High Lifter Mud ATVs

Besides the smaller engine, three big differences between the 850 and the 1000 High Lifter are that the 1000 comes standard with a winch, electronic power steering and front and rear bumpers.

The 1000 also has lighter aluminum wheels vs the steel wheel that come standard on the 850.
