This is one of the top rated ATV parks in PA. It’s open to all off-roading vehicles including ATVs, UTVs, SxS, motorcycles, Jeeps and full sized trucks.

6,500 acres with very diverse terrain – wide open fields, rock runs, mud holes and single tracks through the woods. With 100s of miles of trails, there are enough trails to keep everyone happy from beginner to advanced.

The riding areas are divided into 2 separate riding areas – the Eastern and Western Reserves. They’re located on opposite sides of Rte. 125. The Eastern Reserve is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesday, but the Western Reserve is now open 7 days a week.

If you’re interested in off roading, but don’t know where to start, this park has some classes to boost your confidence. They do training such as: ‘101 Class’ and 3 day training events that included ‘101’, ‘Trail Repair’ and ‘Basic Winch and Recovery’.

They also host fun events like mixers, Easter egg hunts and guided rides.

This park closes for 3 weeks during rifle hunting season which is the last week of November through mid December.

Trailhead Campground is located on the AOAA grounds, you can ride directly from the campground onto the trails.

General Info:

One of the few ATV parks in PA open to full sized vehicles. This park is open to ATVs, UTVs, dune buggies, Jeeps, trucks, hybrids and dirt bikes. In the winter it is open to snowmobiles. Non- motorized use for hikers and mountain biking is also allowed. Plus, this land is also open to hunters during hunting season.

Located in the coal country of Central Eastern PA, this is a multi-use family friendly park on 20,000 acres. They have 650 miles of trail open to off roading.

ATV Parks In PA: Famous Reading Outdoors ATV Trails Map

There are 6 staging/parking areas to access the trails:

  • Coal Hills Trails – This maller section is geared towards more advanced riders with a lot of steep hill climbs.
  • Flats Trails – Wooded and open riding for all skill levels. This section is low lying, so there may be an opportunity for mudding.
  • Ashland Mountain – Wooded and mountainous terrain for all skill levels
  • Locust Gap – Good for all skill levels. Primarily wooded riding with an opportunity for mud pits.
  • St. Kierns – Open land with wide trails. Good for getting your speed on. Riding for all skill levels.
  • Burma Trails – Open land with limited forest. Excellent area for beginners. Extensive hills for advanced riders, but they can easily be avoided.
  • Darkwater Trails – Wooded and open riding for all skill levels. Numerous mud pits.

Park has a wide range of terrain including roads, steep hill climbs, mud pits, rugged terrain, rock crawling, obstacles, flat riding through meadows and fields, ravines, and single track. Plenty of trails for all skill levels from beginner to advanced.

Riders must be at least 12 years of age. All drivers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian when riding.

Although this is a large park, there are no facilities for food, drinks or vehicle repairs, so come prepared.

One of the more unusual ATV parks in PA, this park offers a unique riding experience – it is the only park in the Northeast with underground riding.

You can ride through the pitch black darkness of long abandoned limestone mines with underground lakes and many other interesting natural features. But, you can only ride the mines as part of a tour, it can’t be done on your own. Cost is $5 (cash only).

With 877 acres, this park offers 84 miles of ATV trails for riders of all skill levels. Advanced bike riders will enjoy the 8 miles of tight, challenging single track through the woods.

The littlest riders will enjoy the PeeWee track open to children riding machines under 99cc only.

ATV Parks In PA: Mines & Meadows OHV Trail Map

There is a weekday camp and ride special – $50 for 1 night of camping with 2 days of riding. Offer is valid Monday through Thursday and exempts holiday weekends and pull though sites.

Or, rent a cottage for 2 weeknights with free riding for up to 4 people for $250.

This park has big plans! They aim to be the largest ATV and Motocross park on the East Coast. Currently this park has 2,500 acres with access to an additional 500 acres.

Miles of trails for riders of all skill levels. Most of the trails are one way which is great for safety. SxS may find a couple trails a bit too narrow or treacherous to navigate, but most trails are accessible to wider vehicles.

There is motocross track offering challenging fun riding. Riders are welcome to use the drag strip when there are no events.

ATV Parks In PA: Mountain Ridge ATV Park ATV Trails Map

From Memorial Day – Labor Day they are open 7 days a week, but for May, October and November, they are open weekends only. Park closes in early November.

There is a concession stand with snacks and drinks available. During events, they sometimes have food trucks onsite.

Camping is somewhat rustic with only porta poties available, but they do have 3 shower houses available to campers. Showers are $7 if you are not camping.

This park offers discounted annual membership rates for individual and families. They also offer camping and cabin rentals for the entire season at discounted rates. Riding passes are included in the long term rental prices.

Located on 3,000 acres, this park has trails for riders of all skill levels with features including rocks, bowls, hills and a mix of trails.

Primitive camping is available.

This park offers guided rides for folks that aren’t comfortable heading out on their own. They also offer monthly training rides where drivers can improve their technical skills and gain confidence while riding with a certified trainer from the International Four Wheel Drive Trainers Association. Rides are “101” (novice) and “201” (experienced).

To ride at this park you have to buy a yearly membership and pay a daily riding fee as well. All drivers and passengers over 16 must buy a membership.

This is a community run non-profit off road park. Any extra revenue is donated to local charities at the end of each season.

Park includes trails, mega-truck tank trap mud ravine, play areas, crawling hills, obstacle area and hill climbs and plenty of mud. In fact, this ATV park in PA is all about the mud and has 5 separate mud areas.

Food and drinks are available for purchase.

Wolf Springs hosts several events throughout the year such as Mega Truck Events and a Halloween Event.
